iO Associates have just registered a new position for a 2nd line support specialist who offers experience with either server or database administration. Due to the nature of the role you will be working with clients and bespoke systems.
The purpose of the role will be to ensure that customers are kept up-to-date with the status of their requests. The organisation are growing and looking to bring in an excellent IT support specialist to work within the support team.
The key responsibilities will include:
·Acts as the routine contact point, receiving and handling client requests for support.
·Responds to a broad range of requests for by providing information to fulfil requests or enable resolution.
·Provides investigation and diagnosis and promptly escalates unresolved issues as appropriate.
·Undertakes planned .NET code deployments when required
·Undertakes planned upgrades and migrations when required
·Applies change control procedures.
·Contributes to creation of support documentation
To be successful in this role you will offer previous experience within a customer support position within server or database administration. From a technical perspective, your experience should include:
·Exposure to web-based platforms (.NET)
·Understanding of ITIL processes
·Working knowledge with at least one of the following: Windows server, VMWare or Hyper-V, AD, storage technologies, SQL server
