In a nutshell
One of our consultancy client is searching for a pragmatic Business Intelligence/Data Science Analyst capable of showing a real business understanding of his missions and present themselves as a problem solver.
To maths or not to maths?
The role will NOT be reliant on statistical knowledge or heavy mathematics. However, it will require a technical understanding of business intelligence and data science processes, but that knowledge is secondary to the business acumen of the candidate. Grow the business development, analyse, evaluate, bring insights, present the data with visualising tools, build data models with machine learning techniques... your approach will vary every time you deem it suitable for the client.
The management teams being very supportive and fairly agnostic about the technologies to use, it will be your call to decide which BI or Data Science approaches are relevant to add value, solve problems and cut costs for the company and its clients on a case by case basis. Therefore, the successful candidate must demonstrate that they can take business requirements or business problems and translate them into technical solutions.
- An excellent understanding of the business end of the analytical process
- Proficiency with SQL
- Capacity to present the data through dashboards with tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, Qlikview...
- The ideal candidate would have a knowledge of machine learning models, Python, SAS, SPSS...
- Experience on a variety of projects would be appreciated
You will also have to be able to build the necessary relationships with stakeholders as you try to help them make the best decisions in saving money or creating opportunities.
We could add a lot more about this particular position and the company itself, apply if you are interested and I will reach out to you right away with more information.
