IO Associates are heling a global organisation recruit a Cyber Security Engineer/Cyber Security Systems Engineer for an organisation on the outskirts of Bristol.
The successful candidate will provide Cyber Security consultancy, support and complete project tasks in order to develop, maintain and secure the companies IT infrastructure and strategy.
Role: Cyber Security Engineer/Cyber Security Systems Engineer
Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 + Benefits
·Technical responsibility for the security of the IT infrastructure, including Network, Servers, Virtualisation and Desktop environments:
·Monitoring of IT Systems and activity addressing faults before they impact staff, providing regular status updates to the Technology Solutions Manager:
·Assessment, planning and design of new IT Security technology and methods, taking into account compatibility with existing systems, and the overall IT strategy:
·Design and review of security policies and operational procedures, taking into account relevant organisational policies and legislation:
·Responsibility for internal documentation, working with the systems team to ensure documentation is accurate and up to date:
·WAN/LAN Hardware (Cisco / Fortinet / Meraki / Netscaler) and Software defined Networking technologies.
·Network Security - Firewall configuration, VPN and Threat prevention.
·Server Virtualisation (VMware vSphere).
·Windows Server (2003, 2008 R2, 2012), (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS).
·MFA/2FA (e.g. Duo, SafeNet, Microsoft AD Premium).
·Ethical hacking knowledge/ experience.
·Endpoint Protection / Anti-Virus / Anti-Malware / Anti-Ransomware / Encryption.
·Penetration test knowledge or management and remediation.
·CCNA / CCNP: Cisco Certified Network Associate/Professional.
·MCTS: Windows 7, MCTS.
·MCITP: Windows Server 2008 / 2012 / 2016.
·Network, Security, or Platform certification(s) (S+, N+, MCSP, CNA).
