Product Development Engineer - Surrey - £55,000 Per Annum
I have an exciting opportunity with a company who design, manufacture, and market highly engineered products and systems principally for the aerospace and defence markets. They design cutting edge sensor solutions to the world's leading OEMs within Aerospace, Marine, Energy and wider Industry.
You will be working on the design and development of dynamic output electro-mechanical devices from concept to prototype and have experience in the field of vibration measurement and analysis and an understanding of piezoelectric materials and their application in measurement sensors.
This will be a highly autonomous role but you will also be required to collaborate with the wider product development team on certain projects. You may also be required to technically manage design and test work-packages to ensure that appropriate design and verification methodology is applied.
·Have a degree in an electro-mechanical related subject
·Ability to understand dynamic response output from systems or products (e.g. PE device) and interpret performance
·Proficient in engineering vibration measurement analysis
·Analysing Data or Information - Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts
·Experience & engineering responsibility in complex technology development through TRL 3 to 6
·Have proven experience of technical leadership, preferably within aerospace
·Good understanding of advanced engineering materials and selection for extreme environments
·High-level understanding and experience of piezoelectric accelerometer design
·Good understanding of piezo-electric application engineering
·Good knowledge of aerospace engine component design constraints
·Analyse project requests, proposals or engineering data to determine feasibility, producibility, cost, development time of aerospace products
·Perform feasibility studies and formulate conceptual design of aeronautical or aerospace products or systems to meet customer requirements or conform to environmental regulations
·Formulate mathematical models or other methods of computer analysis to develop, evaluate, or modify design according to the requirements
·Experience of technically managing design work-packages at subcontractors
·The ideal candidate would ideally have experience/knowledge of working in a small technological environment, with sensor manufacturers or accelerometer manufacturers within the aerospace industry
