Embedded Software Consultant
Salary £75,000 DOE
Do you want a new role which will have a real impact on people's lives? This role is at the sharp end of new technology in cancer therapy, diagnostics, and cutting-edge life sciences research.
You have a rare chance to work on exciting projects, collaborating with some of the best minds in the field and exploring and expanding new technologies to achieve success.
You need to have a can-do mindset, to power through projects which will be, at times, technically challenging. Being a senior member of the team, you will act as a role model to younger engineers and your work must set the standard. As well as being technically gifted you must also be a strong communicator, for both, cross-team projects but also to hold client meetings, being the face of your said project. This will be a key part of the role.
Some of the key skills and experience you will need;
* Development of robust real-time software for embedded control systems (bare metal and RTOS) in C/C++.
* Interfacing embedded software with hardware at a low level (e.g. SPI, I2C, UART, USB) as well as high level (e.g. Modbus, CAN, TCP/IP)
* A solid understanding of the fundamental principles of engineering and physics in order to influence broader system-level design, ensuring reliability in real-time control systems
* Strong communication and presentation skills
In return for your experience, you will be rewarded competitively. Offering a salary of £75,000 DOE, with great company culture, progression opportunities and strong benefits package this really is an exceptional opportunity for an exceptional candidate.
