Have you ever wondered how we know exactly how meters an average winger runs during a game? Or maybe how fast a hockey puck is moving when it hits the net? It is done by complex data analytics deployed by technology that is worn inside sports equipment.
Sportable technologies My client is a wearable technology and IoT start-up that is working on the cutting edge of sporting data analytics. Working with some of the biggest names in the sport, they provide the data that allows high-performance sports teams to develop training programs and sporting bodies to analyze the stats of the game.
With the world of sport being such an expansive and high-interest sector, it stands to reason that the innovation real-time data analytics is within this field.
With a successful product launch under their belts for data analysis tools, partnering with the Rugby league, Sportable Technologies are looking to develop for an entirely new product line that will allow sports teams to understand the conditions that allow for optimum performance.
This role will be for an Embedded Software Engineer that will take responsibility for all development of the new product line. The exciting thing about this role is that your career progression will be entirely your own, Sportable technologies see this position as laying the groundwork for how embedded development is done at the company, meaning that you could have a key stake hold in the business and a management position within the next few years. Alternatively, the possibilities for this product are huge, if you wanted to remain technical then you will not be short of work!
Working alongside the Software Architect and Hardware Engineer, your role will involve the following:
* Full lifecycle Embedded System Development
* Embedded C/C++ Programming
* Developing innovative new solutions for new features for the client.
Any experience in the field of IoT / Bluetooth or wireless communication will be looked upon favorably but, ultimately, I am looking for someone that can get a product through the development life-cycle who has a good founding in Embedded Software Development and a passion to work on something genuinely new and innovative.
