Within the Data warehouse/BI team, your missions will mostly revolve around a great deal of ETL development, design, building & maintain the database and shell scripting.
You will also occasionally have some testing to ensure that the ETL processes you designed and developed can properly load the data into the data warehouse.
It will be within your responsibility to analyse the various sources and targets for the ETL such as XML messaging, flat files, Oracle and SQL Server based applications.
The role also involves to document the ETL processes and mappings and the development and testing of IBM DataStage jobs within existing frameworks against the design specifications.
Some performance tuning of DataStage ETL is to foresee as well.
- Oracle 11g or 12c
- ETL development with tools such as DataStage, Informatica, BODS, SSIS etc...
- Linux/Unix shell scripting (Ksh or Bash).
- Oracle PL/SQL development.
- Experience with other DB platforms, e.g. SQL Server, MySQL.
On the personal side, the successful candidate will be keen on learning and using the latest tools.
