Graduate / Juniot Data analyst
One of our historic clients based in Wiltshire is looking for a confident Data analyst to work on strategic and innovative projects.
The role will involve being able to interpret, synthesise and analyse data by the means of statistical processes to derive commercial insights for various stakeholder within the business.
In that regard an analytical and independent mind is required and experience in using and interpreting statistical techniques such as ChiSquare tests or regression analysis with large data sets.
An important part of the work will involve contact with stakeholders, Hence the successful candidate will be able to explain their reasoning to a range of stakeholders to influence their decision-making with fact-based conclusions.
In that sense, qualities of leadership are reasonably expected alongside great presentation skills.
A snap shot of the mission would include:
- Data mining and statistical analysis on large data sets
- Apply statistics in the form of distributions, statistical testing, regressions
Production of reports based on quantitative data analysis
- Extrapolate predictive models from your conclusions
The required skill set is:
A degree in Mathematics, statistics, data science or data analytics.
A capacity to operate advanced statistical analysis of large varied data sets.
Good knowledge of at least one statistical analysis tool or programming language suych as SPSS, SAS, R or Python...
