Head of Technical Documentation - Technical Writing - Bristol - £90,000
The thing I hate most about my job?
It's surprisingly not all the recruiter bashing on LinkedIn, It's not even other recruiters …
It's when colleagues are sunning it up in Marbella and don't leave the right information in their handovers.
I would see it as a similar thing in the software world as when you've got no documentation to work off of, when building on existing code and general legacy products.
You'd probably hate this too … which would make you the right person to be a Head of Technical Documentation.
Existing experience of technical writing within a software delivery function, mixed with the experience of recruiting fellow writers and helping manage them on a day to day basis could put you in the running to work with a real gem within Bristol's tech scene.
With only a few years in the game, and already changing the way we see the future of tech this soon-to-be giant (who have surpassed $2billion value mark) is a great place to call home. It's not just the in-house coffee bar or even just the value in what you're helping achieve. You'll contribute to an R&D environment that creates hardware that speeds up machine learning modules in the cloud changing so many industries such as autonmous vehichles.
Within this you'll focus on continuous delivery, you'll drive improvements and have a focus on deadlines. You'll be a more senior member of the office and be able to contribute lots of ideas on how to improve, adapt and change the content of documentation to better the compnay.
We are looking around the £75,000 mark but have flexibility for the right hire - it also comes with good stock options too!
