My client are a specialist designer of materials handling equipment for the non-plastic packaging sector. They are a global company with a UK based just outside Manchester and, based on the demise of plastics, they have experienced a quick increase in turnover and are now looking to expand their Automation Team to keep up with demand.
This role is for a Senior Automation Engineer who can lead the department in design through to commissioning activities and, with a combination of "off the shelf" and specialist made products, you will be set to lead the department in new product development and Service.

In order to be considered for this role, you will need to have experience in the following:
* Automation Design (PLC based) - They use Rockwell and Siemens PLCs
* Experience of lifecycle design - FDS through to commissioning
* Will to lead a team (no previous experience in management required)
Experience in Materials Handling or Conveyors would be a massive benefit though not essential.
