IT Project Manager | Public Sector | Central London
£350- £400 P/D | Inside IR35 | 6 months +
Public Sector organisation based in the heart for Central London have a requirement for an IT Project Manager to join for a minimum of 6 months. This role will sit within the Business Solutions area in IT, and there is a large pipeline of work so you'll be busy with lots of exciting projects.
This is a general IT Project Manager role covering a variety of projects including application development and configuration, adoption of cloud-based technology services and infrastructure projects. It is likely that the first two projects assigned will be the implementation and roll out of a Project & Portfolio Management tool and the introduction of a document management and archiving service, so experience in this are will be highly beneficial.
·Have minimum 3 years' experience operating in a similar Project Management role.
·Experience of working within a Council/Local Authority
·Good general knowledge of Information Technology systems and services; application development, package selection and implementation, infrastructure platforms, and hosting solutions (on-premises and Cloud).
·Ideally hold Prince 2 Practitioner & Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certifications.
·Demonstrable people management & team working experience. Ability to plan and manage project resources in a matrix environment. Ability to motivate and drive delivery teams.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong stakeholder management
·Demonstrable knowledge of project delivery methodologies e.g. Prince 2, Agile Scrum, DSDM, SAFe, etc.
·Familiarity with project management software, e.g. Microsoft PPM, Planview, etc.
·An effective communicator, with a natural flair for influencing and securing buy-in from a variety of stakeholders including senior management, clients, and other departments.
·Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential.
·Ability to effectively prioritise and deliver tasks in a high-pressure environment.
