£50,000 - £60,000 Per Annum Plus Bonus + Benefits
I have been exclusively engaged in a search on behalf of a company in Bristol who are designing and developing downhole drilling equipment with their unique, patented technology.
They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to sit within their New Product Development Team and develop new concepts for drilling / well intervention services.
As part of a small team of Mechanical Engineers, you will be responsible for development of new BHA's (Bottom Hole Assembly) for well intervention services. The unique ideas and technological concepts need to be incorporated within new product design to satisfy company product portfolio needs and secure company growth.
·Development of the new BHA Concepts
·Ensure that New BHA design is meeting defined requirements
·Design BHA, its main modules, sub-assemblies and parts
·Cooperate with other relevant teams and insure packaging of their modules and components
·Perform Stress calculation, both hand and FEA
·Familiar with material used for downhole applications
·Create BOM, 2D manufacturing drawings
·Strong awareness of BHA manufacturing and operational cost
·Ensure Project on time and within budget delivery
·Product Development according to company Product Lifecycle Management Process
·Focus on HSE, quality compliance, company service and customer need
·MSc Mechanical Engineer or equivalent
·Min 5 years of design experience, ideally all in BHA design (drilling, well intervention, …)
·Ideally completed one full cycle of Product Development
·Experienced in 3D CAD modelling, ideally in CATIA
·Ideally experienced in Designing Multidisciplinary Product involving aspects of physics, electronics, software and communication
·Demonstrated ability to deliver Project scope and meet Project goals and objectives
For the right candidate, my client is willing to pay £60,000 Per Annum as well as an additional performance-based bonus plus other benefits.
