Project Manager | Public Sector | Central London
£350- £400 P/D | Inside IR35 | 6 months +
Public Sector organisation based in the heart for Central London have a requirement for an IT Project Manager to join for a minimum of 6 months. This role will sit within the Business Programmes area in IT, and there is a large pipeline of work so you'll be busy with lots of exciting projects.
The main purpose of this role is to successfully plan and deliver the business's projects according to an agreed project scope. This role specifically relates to projects in the parking services area, and will involve the integration of existing and new IT systems.
You will be involved with building and managing appropriate delivery teams and coordinating the efforts of team members to deliver projects according to the agreed methodology. You will also define the project's objectives, communication strategy and oversee quality control throughout the duration of the project.
·Minimum 3 years' experience operating in an IT project management role.
·Experience of working for a council/ Local Authority
·First-hand experience in the integration of systems controlling outsourced parking services and other parking related IT systems
·Ideally hold Prince 2 Practitioner & Certified Scrum Master or Professional Scrum Master certifications.
·Experience of managing new systems adoption on for managed services contracts
·Demonstrable people management & team working experience. Ability to plan and manage project resources in a matrix environment. Ability to motivate and drive delivery teams.
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong stakeholder management
·Good understanding and direct first-hand experience of the full project delivery lifecycle
·Demonstrable knowledge of project delivery methodologies e.g. Prince 2, Agile Scrum, DSDM, SAFe, etc
