IT Support Manager | Healthcare | Cornwall
iO Associates are delighted to be supporting a rapidly growing Software Vendor based in Cornwall in their search for an IT Support Manager.
The key to this role is the ability to identify emerging issues and to escalate these within the problem management process, whilst assisting in the cross-functional resolution of underlying problems. If you have a good head for problem solving then you will thrive in this position.
The successful candidate will be required to head up and manage a collaborative team of 1st and 2nd Line Support Desk operatives within the Service Centre Group, which operates in an ITIL environment to meet the GPSoC, NHS Wales, private practice and Channel Islands service agreements to deliver an excellent customer experience.
Alongside this, your duties will involve assessing staffs' professional development, and handling standard line management issues, such as performance management and disciplinary issues where appropriate.
Knowledge & Skills
·Knowledge of NHS computing or medical systems would be an advantage. Having previous experience of dealing with clinical safety would be highly advantageous but not essential as training will be given.
·Good working knowledge of Linux and SQL.
·Preferably an ITIL V3 Foundation Certificate or demonstrate equivalent experience.
·Excellent problem-solving skills
·At least 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) with grade C or above which includes English and Maths
