Our client, a large engineering firm, require a highly motivated Engineer to provide a technical service for a bespoke Process Simulation Software package. You will be responsible for solving technical customer issues and managing the relationship with customers who use this cutting-edge engineering software application.
In this role you will be working with some of the latest software tools, including PRO/II, DYNSIM, ROMeo providing technical guidance and advice of new software platforms.
The right candidate will work within a highly skilled team of process engineering professionals who share responsibility for supporting the European market as a whole. Meeting and developing relationships with customers onsite is an important part of the role so good communication skills are a must (regular travel will be required in UK, Europe and occasionally beyond).
Job Responsibilities include:
· Support customers in their day-to-day activities when using software products
· Responds to customer product inquiries.
· Resolves customer concerns raised during installation, operation, maintenance or product application or compatibility matters. Interpersonal skills and technical product knowledge and expertise are critical when responding to daily customer-centric activities.
·Troubleshoots client problems and recommends corrective action.
·Documents customer information and recurring technical issues to support product quality programs and product development.
·Business travels to our customers (about 25%)
This would suit high-calibre engineering graduates with a minimum 2:1 degree in Chemical or Process Engineering or this in the early stages of their professional career. Further MSc and PhD would also be desirable
