My well established client are looking to appoint a Field Service Engineer for a 6 month contract to join there rapidly growing team.
This role has been created to provide better service to the business's end users by providing hands-on, face to face support.
This being a face to face role you will be required to travel to the work sites within your geographical area primarily London and the South East.
Whilst on site, you will be providing 2nd Line Support across the breadth of IT within the office, dealing with hardware and software issues that have arisen within the business, by providing a face to face service and support to the end users with a rang eof products including :-
Windows Update Server (WSUS)
Windows Deployment Services (WDS)
Windows Server 2003/2008/2012
Hardware / Storage
Secondly you will be required to take account, audit and make a full asset list of all IT equipment and hardware for the allocated sites. This will include Computers, screens, telephones and other IT equipment.
You will need to have great attention to detail, be able to work effectively autonomously and have to ability to engage with clients on a face to face basis. This role will work within the 2nd line support function of the business, but some experience of 3rd line support would be an advantage.
