Role:

As the AIV Manager, you will be responsible for the Assembly, Integration, and Verification (AIV) of a satellite, ensuring it is ready for launch. You will begin by reviewing all AIV-related requirements to establish a solid AIV plan. Throughout the project, you will oversee the assembly, integration, and verification processes, ensuring all activities are executed according to the project schedule. This includes managing environmental testing such as Vibration & Shock, Thermal Vacuum, and EMC, as well as satellite functional and electrical testing from unit level to full satellite testing.

You will work closely with project managers, technical leads, and the functional test leader. During Qualification Acceptance Reviews (QAR) or Final Acceptance Review (FAR), you will present a comprehensive Verification Control Document (VCD) to the customer, demonstrating that all higher-level requirements have been met and accepted.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop the AIV plan in accordance with the project schedule.
  • Maintain a day-to-day planning basis for effective AIV management.
  • Manage environmental verification/testing (e.g., Vibration & Shock, Thermal Vacuum, EMC) and functional/operations testing (from unit level to full satellite level and ground station interaction).
  • Conduct regular meetings with the AIV team to track progress, discuss plans, and assign tasks.
  • Report progress to the Project Manager/Technical Lead and propose solutions to minimize impacts on the project schedule.
  • Maintain an overview of all activities.
  • Collaborate effectively with all disciplines and roles.
  • Work in a structured, thorough manner with a clear focus on achieving objectives within the schedule.
  • Align the use of shared resources to support testing.
  • Follow up on non-conformances with Product Assurance to assess the impact on tests.
  • Oversee satellite software deliveries in support of testing.
  • Coordinate all relevant test documentation (procedures, reports, analyses).

Profile:

  • Proven AIV experience in space projects (preferably satellites).
  • Fluency in English.
  • Highly motivated and passionate about space systems. Proactive, creative, enthusiastic, and result-oriented team player with a broad perspective.
  • Please note that my client adheres to ITAR regulations, which restrict candidates from certain countries or those with dual nationalities.
