Position: B2 Licensed Engineer

Pay rate: upto £70 p/h inside IR35.

location: Shawbury - RAF Base

Role Type: 12 Month contract with extension

Position: Onsite role

IO Associates seeks a B2 Licensed Engineer for the Shawbury site. Join a global aerospace leader specializing in commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, defense, and space sectors. Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support to Flight Operations.
• Perform maintenance inspections and repairs under LAE Supervisor guidance.
• Lead teams to ensure safe aircraft operations.
• Maintain avionic and electrical systems, including LRU replacements and testing.
• Supervise fitters and certify their work.
• Conduct off-aircraft technical tasks in the avionics workshop.
• Assist with hangar management, aircraft movement, and housekeeping.

Skills

• In-depth knowledge of helicopter avionic and electrical systems is required.
• Familiarity with specialized test equipment for avionic and electrical systems is essential.
• Must be up to date with:
• CAA regulations, particularly Part 145 and Part M (Continued Airworthiness Management).
• Flight and airport operations.
• Aircraft line maintenance procedures.
