Contract Outfit Detail Design Engineer

iO Associates has a new Outfit Detail Design Engineer contract available, working with a client in the Shipbuilding industry.

Working with a team of Engineers, they are looking for a contractor to join and be involved in creating detailed 2D design layouts and arrangement, taking into consideration the client requirements and safety regulations. Along with carrying out vessel reviews and requisition materials for BoMs.

Skillset required is:

Proficient use of AutoCAD (or similar design software) and Microsoft Office
Minimum of 4 years drawing office or detail design experience, preferably within the commercial shipbuilding industry
A good understanding of ship outfitting requirements
HVAC and structural knowledge - an advantage

On offer is a 6-month contract (likely to extend), a rate between £40-45 per hour (OUTSIDE IR35) and on-site working in their Glasgow office.
