Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer looking to take on a challenging, role within an innovative company? We are seeking a dedicated professional to contribute to the design, integration, and deployment of cutting-edge machinery used in advanced manufacturing and electronics.

About the Role
As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you'll play a critical role in the development of high-value machinery incorporating laser, inkjet, and CNC technologies. These machines serve industries ranging from semiconductor packaging to photovoltaics, targeting both high-volume manufacturing and R&D applications globally, with a particular focus on Asia.

This position is based in the UK and involves close collaboration with international teams and suppliers. You will take full ownership of electrical system designs, regulatory compliance, and safety system development, ensuring the seamless integration of specialist subsystems and compliance with CE standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration: Partner with technical leads, mechanical engineers, and other teams to define specifications and ensure seamless integration.
  • Electrical Design: Design comprehensive electrical systems, produce detailed drawings, and create supporting documentation.
  • Automation and Product Development: Innovate new subsystem designs, improve existing modules, and conceptualize industrial automation solutions.
  • Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with applicable directives and CE regulations, compiling technical folders and certifying projects.

What We're Looking For:

Required:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Over 6 years of hands-on experience designing, building, and testing machinery and electrical systems.
  • Deep understanding of applicable regulatory standards and CE compliance.
  • Proficiency in electrical test procedures and documentation.
  • Ability to innovate, problem-solve, and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD.
  • Experience with motion control systems.
  • Familiarity with specifying and programming PLC hardware and software.
