Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Manager

Salary: £75,000 pa

iO is looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Engineering Manager to work with a leader in mitigation and abatement worldwide, we are dedicated to reducing the adverse effects of semiconductor manufacturing on the environment and the natural world.
The Mechanical Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading, empowering, and inspiring several teams of mechanical and development engineers in the design and development of innovative products and equipment for semiconductor manufacturing will be the primary duty of this function.

Requirements:

  • Almost ten years of expertise using best practices in mechanical engineering in a relevant engineering setting.
  • Substantial background gained while working in a compliance-driven, regulated industry.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance and product safety.
  • Mechanical engineers with experience in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring from both external candidates and a developing internal talent pool.
  • Abilities in project and financial management.

Responsibilities:

  • Assign mechanical engineers and teams to lead "Mechanical Engineering" activities for applicable projects. Make sure these teams collaborate well, work cohesively, and guide the team towards successful project milestones and completion.
  • Promote and spearhead the implementation of optimal mechanical engineering practices in relevant projects to enhance the engineering function's delivery in terms of schedule, cost, quality, and specification.
  • Additionally, make sure that the proper degree of efficient technical governance is in place to ensure safety, compliance, quality, and dependability.
  • Make sure that the mechanical engineering for the product development satisfies stakeholder requirements all the way down to subsystem-level requirements, and that efficient plans for validation and verification are in place.
