iO associated have partnered with a renowned British automotive company that designs, manufactures, and sells some of the world's most iconic luxury vehicles.

We are looking for a Process Engineer/ Lead to support companies global manufacturing processes including development, introduction and launch of new and modified processes within Bodyshop assembly facility.

Salary: £45-55K basic10% bonus personal and company performance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Feasibility & Project Management: Assess and manage projects focusing on cost, quality, and timing.
  • Support Facilities & Equipment: Align with programme milestones and production needs.
  • Feasibility & Cost Evaluations: Analyze new or modified facilities and processes.
  • Engineering Solutions: Develop solutions tailored to facility capabilities and processes.
  • Lean Layout Solutions: Create efficient layouts for project delivery and operational improvements.
  • Health, Safety & Risk Management: Maintain and develop safety and risk processes.
  • Environmental Compliance: Contribute to energy, water, and waste innovation and reporting.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Ensure successful facility acceptance and handover.
  • Collaboration: Work with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to meet targets.
  • Engineering Support: Provide support for problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Documentation Management: Oversee facility documentation for audits.
  • Procurement Leadership: Lead equipment procurement through all project phases.
  • KPI Tracking: Monitor and report project KPIs.

Skills & Experience

  • BIW Assembly Line Expertise: Proven track record in delivering and launching Body in White (BIW) assembly line facilities.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong capabilities in complex problem-solving and investigating quality issues, addressing manual station over cycles, and effective reporting and stakeholder management.
  • Project Management: Experience managing projects that involve delivering new or modified equipment into a production setting.
  • Engineering Qualifications: Holds an engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or higher) in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering, or a combined Mech/Elec field, and/or possesses relevant engineering experience in BIW manufacturing.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in computer skills, with experience in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Catia.
  • Self-Motivation & Communication: Demonstrates self-motivation, strong business acumen, and effective communication skills.
  • Continuous Learning: Shows a willingness to learn and adapt as the business environment evolves.
  • Travel Requirements: Ability to travel to various locations in the Midlands to support JLR expansion.
  • Team Collaboration: A team player who can effectively communicate and challenge all levels within the organization.
  • Cross-Functional Teamwork: Ability to work within cross-functional teams and take ownership of tasks to deliver results.
