Radar Systems Engineer

Location: Onsite in Switzerland (1-2 days/week remote flexibility)
Start Date: ASAP
Security: Must be eligible to work on military/defence projects

Ready to work on cutting-edge radar technology at the intersection of aerospace and defence? Join an elite R&D team driving innovation in air surveillance radar systems that protect European and US airspace. You'll be stepping into a technical leadership role within a forward-thinking, international team that's redefining the future of military radar.

Why You'll Love This Role

  • Radar first. PM second. We're seeking a Radar domain expert who's keen to grow into technical project leadership. You don't need to own the budget - just the technology, test cases, CDRs, PDRs, and technical deliverables.
  • Modern work, future focus. While the broader company may be traditional, this team is all about pushing boundaries: exploring new markets, engaging in accelerator projects, and turning military-grade innovation into real-world impact.
  • Global collaboration. Work daily with a diverse team (French, Swedish, Swiss, Italian, Spanish) where English is the language of meetings - but don't be surprised if coffee breaks turn to German!

Your Role

  • Lead air surveillance radar projects from a technical standpoint
  • Drive activities like modelling, data & signal processing, and sensor simulation
  • Ensure engineering milestones (CDRs, PDRs, etc.) are achieved with precision
  • Collaborate closely with radar system engineers working on RF, hardware/software integration
  • Bridge the gap between technical depth and project coordination - no financial admin required

What You Bring

  • Deep experience in radar systems - particularly data modelling & signal processing
  • Motivation to grow into a Technical Project Leader (TPL) role
  • Familiarity with tools like Matlab and high-level programming languages
  • Background in defence or aerospace (non-safety critical)
  • Ability to thrive in a structured yet curious and innovative team environment

This isn't your typical defence project team. You'll join a tight-knit, ambitious, and supportive engineering unit within a larger, well-respected European defence company.
