About the Company:

Join an innovative team working on a greenfield mobile communications application designed for secure data transmission, messaging, voice calling, and media streaming.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Android Developer to build and deploy a native Android application that handles telephony, media streaming, and multi-source data integration. You will work closely with an established iOS Developer, UX designers, and backend engineers to create a high-performing and scalable solution. The role requires strong Android development experience, knowledge of deployment pipelines, and the ability to work in a collaborative, small-team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain native Android applications (no cross-platform frameworks).
  • Implement telephony, voice calling, and video/media streaming features using sockets.
  • Set up development environments and manage the technical side of the Google Play Store submission process.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and optimize app performance.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Document solutions and maintain high coding standards and security practices.
  • Play an integral role in a small, fast-moving team, contributing ideas and problem-solving.

Required Skills:

  • Strong native Android development experience.
  • Proven experience with building and deploying Android apps.
  • Knowledge of deployment pipelines and the Google Play Store submission process.
  • Understanding of frontend UI development (backend API knowledge is a plus).
  • Experience working in small teams and taking ownership of projects.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in secure data applications, telecommunications, or financial services.
  • Familiarity with backend API development.
  • Interest in progressing into a leadership role as the team scales.

Package & Benefits:

  • £60,000 - £70,000 base salary.
  • Up to 15% bonus based on personal & company performance.
  • Travel to office expenses paid after probation.
