Are you a senior application engineer looking for that next step in your career?

iO Associates have partnered with a Local Government client who are looking to grow their application & systems team. You have the freedom to work completely remotely in this position, so you don't need to be based near their office, just based in the UK.

As a Senior application engineer in this role, you'll be given full autonomy to tackle solutions in the best way you see fit. The hiring manager for this position described the ideal candidate as a 'Solutions' based engineer, if you enjoy fixing problems in the right way, I'm sure you'll get along.

Previous stakeholder management experience or project management experience will be a huge bonus but not essential.

Here's a bit more around the technical experience we'd be looking for:

  • Experience providing experience technical support for all application related systems
  • Examples of where you've helped manage platform change (transitioning applications through environment upgrades - SaaS, Iaas & PaaS)
  • Experience creating, maintaining and supporting data transfer and interfaces between line
  • Knowledge of Cloud Technologies (O365, Intune , Docker, Kubernetes, Pipelines)
  • Knowledge of SQL relational database principal & management, SQL
  • Ability to code ( Bash, Powershell) or open source coding (Java, Java SE, JRE, JSON, XML integration API)
  • Demonstrable experience of GIT/Pipeline Automation
