Your Role

As a Software Engineer for Embedded Systems, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and testing of advanced embedded software for medical devices. Your work will be crucial in ensuring high safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards for our digital imaging, data management, and connectivity solutions.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, implement, and verify embedded software solutions to meet product and regulatory requirements.

  • Manage technical requirements to ensure seamless integration with our hardware and software ecosystem.

  • Troubleshoot and support production-related software issues.

  • Maintain and optimize existing products and systems throughout their lifecycle.

  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as CE, FDA, MDR, and applicable quality management processes.

  • Create and review documentation including component and system specifications, risk analyses, and verification reports.

  • Set up prototypes and development environments for testing and validation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to drive innovation and efficiency.

  • Liaise with manufacturers regarding the selection and integration of components and third-party software solutions.


Your Profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in embedded software development, ideally in the medical device industry.

  • Strong proficiency in ANSI C, C++ programming.

  • Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and QT framework.

  • Hands-on experience working with interfaces like RS232, RS485, CAN, etc.

  • Familiarity with version control (Git), build tools (Make, GCC) is a plus.

  • Quick learning ability with a structured and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving.

  • Strong teamwork, initiative, and high-quality awareness.

  • Excellent English communication skills; German is a plus.
