iO Associates are working with a Health Tech organisation that provides innovative software solutions for healthcare organisations, specialising in improving clinical workflows and collaboration by integrating disparate healthcare IT systems.
We are seeking a Systems Support Engineer to join a dynamic Support Team, reporting to the Technical Support Lead. You will provide 1st and 2nd line support for internal applications, infrastructure, and hardware, as well as the company's software solutions for both customers and staff. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build technical skills and work in a collaborative, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support to both customers and internal staff through phone, email, and remote desktop platforms
- Manage support tickets, ensuring prioritisation based on risk, impact, and urgency, escalating complex issues when necessary
- Monitor system performance and ensure efficient operation of infrastructure (e.g., disk space, memory)
- Install, configure, and support hardware and software across devices such as PCs, laptops, and mobile devices
- Train staff on IT systems like Microsoft 365 and Atlassian, and maintain up-to-date knowledge base articles
- Implement change management processes and contribute to problem investigations and root cause analysis
- Ensure compliance with GDPR, NHS Data Security, and internal procedures
Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role with a strong focus on troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Azure AD, with experience in Windows Desktop and Server environments
- Hands-on experience with PC, laptop, tablet, and mobile device support
- Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM frameworks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a flexible and proactive approach to task management
Desirable Skills:
* Knowledge of server technologies like IIS and virtualisation platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
* Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
* Familiarity with ISO 27001 and ISO 9001/ISO 13485 standards
* Interest in cybersecurity and DevOps practices
