Technician - Soft Ballistics (m/f/d)

A leading provider of high-performance protection solutions is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Technician - Soft Ballistics (m/f/d) to join their team in Germany. This role will focus on the technical and textile aspects of soft ballistic materials and products.
The Technician will play a crucial role in the production and quality assurance of soft ballistic protection items. They will work closely with production teams, ensuring adherence to specifications and safety standards within the field of ballistic protection. While specific experience in soft ballistics is advantageous, the company is open to candidates with a strong textile or materials background who are eager to learn.
Responsibilities:

  • Providing technical support in the manufacturing processes of soft ballistic products.
  • Working with various textiles and materials used in soft ballistic applications.
  • Assisting in the cutting, sewing, and assembly of soft ballistic components.
  • Conducting quality checks on materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Contributing to the maintenance and upkeep of production equipment related to textile processing.
  • Ensuring adherence to safety standards and protocols within the ballistic protection environment.
  • Assisting in the preparation of samples and prototypes.
  • Documenting technical processes and quality control checks.
  • Collaborating with production managers and other technicians to optimize workflows.
  • Potentially receiving training and development in the specific aspects of soft ballistics.


Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a background in textiles, materials science, or a related technical field. Experience working with fabrics and an understanding of their properties are essential. While direct experience in soft ballistics and knowledge of safety standards in ballistic protection are highly desirable, candidates with a strong aptitude for learning and a relevant technical background will also be considered.
The successful individual will demonstrate:

  • Ideally, some background or understanding of ballistic protection principles and safety standards.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Good manual dexterity and precision in their work.

  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to learn new skills, particularly in the area of soft ballistics.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Fluency in English is required.
