Senior and Principal Mechanical Design Engineer - Data Centres & Mission-Critical Projects

A leading energy and transformation engineering company is seeking a number of skilled professionals to lead mechanical design projects across data centers and other mission-critical environments.

The Role:

Leading mechanical design from bid to commissioning
Manage and mentor designers, reviewing and approving mechanical designs
Oversee coordination between mechanical, electrical, and construction teams at all project stages
Conduct design reviews, risk assessments, and ensure compliance with RIBA, BSRIA BG6, and ISO 19650
Maintain an audit trail for design approvals and provide technical reports
Work with design & build contracts and engage with key stakeholders

About You:

Degree or equivalent experience in Mechanical/Building Services Engineering (BEng/MEng)
Proven expertise in mechanical services design for data centers and critical environments
Strong leadership skills, mentoring engineers and managing project risks
Experience across the full design lifecycle, from pre-construction to commissioning
Knowledge of sustainability & compliance (BREEAM, Part L), and mathematical modelling (CFD, FEA)
