iO Associates are excited to announce our new GovTech Leaders Virtual Meetup!
Taking place on Thursday 13th July at 6pm, this meetup is a community with the aim of bringing together Tech professionals nationwide through insightful and interesting talks.
Join us for this instalment of our series, discussing all things ChatGPT in the Pub Sec: How can the UK Government harness and regulate AI?
Our guest speakers for our first session include:
Daniel Hulme, CEO of Satalia, Co-Founder of Faculty AI and Chief AI Officer at WPP, who’s topics of choice are: ‘What sectors are already reaping the benefits of AI?’ & ‘How can AI enable a sustainable future?’. Following Daniel is Angela Channer, Principal Software Craftsperson at Codurance, who will be presenting our attendees with ‘The applications and implications of the use of AI’. Data aficionado, D&I advocate, baker of cakes and self-proclaimed coffee snob, Angela is an excellent Lead Developer with experience across a multitude of industries.
Our third speaker is Sebastian Obeta, AI Ethics Research Specialist at AI Tech UK, who is covering ‘What it takes to ensure AI is unbiased and inclusive’. Sebastian is an AI expert and researcher, specializing in natural language processing (NLP), a subset of artificial intelligence (AI). Currently a Data Scientist and analyst at the University of Cambridge, he focuses on advancing AI technologies and exploring their potential.
Our final speaker is Dave Rogers, Partner at Public Digital, whose topic for the session is ‘AI myth busting: cutting through the AI hype to find the real and immediate impact’. Dave is a technology and digital specialist, with leadership experience in digital delivery and transformation, user-centred service and policy design, cyber security, and technology transformation. Dave was previously Chief Technology Officer at the UK’s Ministry of Justice. Not only that but Dave is a regular writer and speaker on themes such as toxic legacy technology, hype technology, transformation, and sustainability of technology.
