Join us for this instalment of our series, discussing all things C++ including C++ across different industries, Safety Critical C++ and Modern Day C++ challenges. Our guest speakers for the session are:
Ofek Shilon, Senior C++ Developer at Toga Networks! Ofek will be covering: ‘Everything I Wish They Told Me About Linkers’ - it is an in-depth survey of shared libraries build and usage on Linux and Windows, with emphasis on implications for developers.
Ofek has 20 years in the industry, and 12 of those are as a leader - involved in the entire range from product strategy, technological roadmap, team management, hands on development, and down to optimization and debugging.
Our second speaker is Conor Hoekstra, Research Scientist at NVIDIA, who is providing a discussion around ‘New Algorithms in C++23’. C++23 has made a number of very important additions to the Ranges library that was introduced in C++20. This talk will be an overview everything new in the C++23 Ranges library as well as a high level overview of all the different "types" of algorithms in C++ (from C++98 to C++23).
Conor is a Research Scientist at NVIDIA working on array programming models and languages. He is extremely passionate about programming languages, algorithms and beautiful code. He is the founder and organiser of the Programming Languages Virtual Meetup, he has a YouTube channel and he is the host of two podcasts: Algorithms + Data Structures = Programs and ArrayCast. Conor is also an avid conference speaker.
