Automation Test Engineer

We are working closely with a major National Security & Defence Consultancy in their search for an Automation Test Engineer to join the growing team on a permanent basis. They have offices in Gloucester, Manchester and London, with flexible working arrangements.

Due to the nature of their projects, you must already hold an active UK*C DV Clearance.

You will be part of the highly Agile, multi-disciplinary teams working in DevOps practices and tools to deliver high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver Test capability, automated solutions, to support mission critical solutions
• Define and execute test activities either independently or within a team
• Identify Testing solutions, specifically automated solutions, to reduce software time-to-market
• Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive testable scenarios

Key Requirements:

• Hands-on in aiding and implementing test strategies with a strong understanding of the Modern Testing Principles
• Solid experience of the SDLC, agile methodologies/principles and dev-ops tools/techniques
• Track record for delivering quality Automated Test solutions in a fast-paced dynamic Engineering environment
• Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, analytical, planning and written/verbal communication skills and an aptitude to learn new technologies quickly
• Self-motivated and able to inspire others in test best practice, focused on Quality outcomes
• Experience of working with Test Automation tools/frameworks for varying application layers, utilising techniques such as TDD, BDD, CI/CD
• Degree level qualification or equivalent experience
• ISTQB Certified
