iO Associates are working in partnership with a prestigious consultancy whom specialise in offering bespoke digital transformations and solutions to the government and national security sectors. We are currently seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join them on a permanent basis, and be instrumental in the growth of their already impressive presence within this sector.

As a Business Development Manager, your time will be split between new business development (70%) and client management (30%). The day-to-day responsibilities of the role will include activities such as:

- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities within the defence and national security sector

- Defining, developing and executing strategic growth plans within the division to exceed sales targets and revenue growth

- Conducting market research

- Nurture existing business relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and identifying up/cross-selling opportunities

In order to be successful within this role, we are looking for candidates who have a proven track record of selling digital solutions and services to government and/or national security entities within the UK, and has a good understanding of government and industry digital standards. We are also looking for someone who understands how this sector works commercially at a programme level, not just project.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis and will require presence at their client site in Gloucestershire for a minimum of 2 days per week.

In return for your support, we are offering a competitive base salary of up to £120,00 (dependant on experience) + Uncapped OTE, as well as benefits such as private medical cover, pension, cycle scheme, etc.
