Data Analyst - London

Part-time Role - £300 - £350 pd

Working with a dynamic and innovative organisation dedicated to improving access to justice. They are passionate about using technology to empower individuals and communities. They are looking for an experienced Data Analyst to support a critical project involving the cleansing, transformation, and migration of a large and sensitive database.

What You'll Do:

  • Assess the quality of an existing Excel case database, identifying and correcting inconsistencies, duplicates, and errors.
  • Develop and implement a systematic approach to data validation and cleaning, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Standardise data entry procedures to minimise future errors.
  • Align the data with the new system's requirements, ensuring compatibility with external sources.
  • Migrate the cleaned and aligned data into the new results platform without data loss or corruption.
  • Document the entire data cleaning, alignment, and migration process.
  • Report any issues encountered and suggest recommendations for improved data handling practices.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in data cleaning, data management, and migration processes.
  • Expertise in Excel, including data manipulation, pivot tables, and formula creation.
  • Working knowledge of database management systems and results platforms (experience with SQL and Azure a plus).
  • A meticulous eye for detail and the ability to identify data discrepancies.
  • Experience working with sensitive data.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with data integrity and quality assurance practices.

  • Part-time commitment: Up to 3 days per week for approximately 3 months (open to discussion on flexibility of working week/ remote aspects).
  • Ideal location: London-based
