DV Cleared Network Engineer - Farnborough - £50-60k

Role: DV Cleared Network Engineer

Location: Farnborough - onsite
Clearance: Must be DV Cleared
Base Salary: £50,000 -£60,000 + Company Benefits

IO Associates are looking for a DV Cleared Network Engineer to join a client that works into defence, public and government sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee and prioritize network issues.

Address technical problems and interact with vendors.

Troubleshoot using lab setups.

Manage escalations and generate reports.

Collaborate to resolve security vulnerabilities.

Participate in service review meetings and recommend improvements.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

2nd/3rd line NOC/SOC support experience.

Strong expertise with Cisco networking (Nexus/Catalyst).

Excellent troubleshooting skills and deep knowledge of OSI and TCP/IP.

Proficient in BGP, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, Ethernet, VLANs, Port Aggregation, and 802.1Q trunking.

Desirable:

Knowledge of Cisco ACI, Hyperflex, UCS, Firepower, ASA, ISE.

Familiar with BGP EVPN VXLAN, IPSec/SSL VPNs.

Experience with Wireshark and Juniper networking.

Understanding of ITIL practices.

Certifications:

Required: Cisco CCNA

Preferred: Cisco CCNP, Juniper JNCIA
