An exciting company in Leicester are searching for Embedded Software Engineers to join on a permanent basis. You will be joining the Automation, Navigation and Control Systems arm of the business to play an important role in developing the software for use in a variety of this business' product.

Working alongside highly skilled engineers in the field, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone to learn from great engineers and develop their career over the long term, offering great progression due to the organisation's big future growth plans and investments.

Role requirements:

• Develop real time embedded software in C++ to run on Linux/FreeRTOS
• Good understanding of objectoriented design patterns.
• Develop new applications and update existing applications.
• Maintain indepth technical expertise in the latest advances within the industry.

Key skills and experience:

• Expertise in writing robust, maintainable and testable code in C++.
• Work with sensors would be highly desirable.
• RTOS and bare metal development.
• Signal processing.

The successful candidate will be working on the leading edge of this technology, designing, and developing software to make sense of multiple sensor inputs for RADAR/LIDAR and microwave RF applications for the marine industry. Hybrid working is offered, allowing two set days working from home a week if required.
