Position: Financial Accountant

Pay rate: £30.07 p/h inside IR35. (37 hours per week)

IO Associates seeks a Financial Accountant for the Farnborough site. Join a global aerospace leader specializing in commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, defense, and space sectors. Responsibilities

Execute month-end processes: prepare/process general ledger journals (payroll, accruals, prepayments), fix transactional postings, and analyze the P&L and balance sheet for necessary adjustments.
Provide transactional support by covering AP processing during the AP Specialist's leave or increased volumes.
Prepare group reporting packs, including TB mapping files.
Prepare and submit VAT returns to HMRC.
Support the Controller in configuring Microsoft D365 to automate processes and improve key controls.

Skills & Experience required

Qualified/Part Qualified Accountant or Qualified by Experience with a background in diverse organizational environments, from large best-practice firms to small start-ups.
Demonstrated expertise in month-end processes and financial reporting, consistently delivering accurate monthly numbers on time.
Experience in dynamic environments with rapidly changing priorities and pressure to deliver.
Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical skills in financial data.
Ability to balance urgent immediate needs with long-term priorities, proactively implementing actions and measures to anticipate and manage future control requirements.
