We're working with a forward-thinking life sciences organisation based in Munich, and we're looking for an experienced Freelance Data Scientist to support them on a full-time project basis. This role is ideal for someone with a strong track record delivering data-driven insights within pharma, biotech, or CRO environments.

About the Project:

You'll be responsible for building and interpreting analytical solutions that drive scientific and regulatory outcomes, and collaborating closely with scientific teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver data science models and workflows to support clinical research or drug development.
  • Work with complex datasets including clinical trials, regulatory submissions, and observational studies.
  • Ensure analytics outputs meet regulatory standards and are audit-ready.
  • Present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work 1-2 days per week on-site in Munich; the remainder remote.

Requirements:

  • Prior freelance experience supporting pharma or CRO projects.
  • Deep understanding of clinical trial data, CDISC standards (e.g. SDTM, ADaM), and regulatory frameworks (e.g. GxP, GDPR).
  • Proficient in Python, R, SQL, and data visualisation tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Available for full-time project work with some on-site presence in Munich.

Details:

  • Start: Within the next 2-4 weeks
  • Contract: Freelance / B2B / Umbrella
  • Duration: 6 months (likely to extend)
  • Eligibility: German Blue Card holder or EU Citizen.
