iO Associates are recruiting for a Head of Operational Technology on behalf of our client, a leading organisation in their field. This role will be pivotal in driving the development and execution of the OT strategy, ensuring that the integration of operational technology systems enhances business performance, meets cybersecurity standards, and aligns with strategic digital transformation goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the development of the Operational Technology (OT) strategy, ensuring systems are robust, secure, and aligned with the broader IT framework.
- Oversee the effective design, development, and management of OT infrastructure, including the selection, configuration, and management of hardware and software systems.
- Ensure that **cybersecurity** protocols are implemented and maintained, addressing risks across both OT and IT landscapes to protect critical infrastructure and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Manage and support SCADA, PLC, MES, and other OT systems, ensuring their reliability and integration with business processes.
- Work closely with engineering, operations, and IT teams to foster cross-functional collaboration, ensuring alignment between OT initiatives and broader business objectives.
- Lead a team of OT professionals, providing mentorship, development, and strategic direction to foster a high-performance culture.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors and external partners, ensuring that all OT systems and solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Qualifications & Experience Required:

- Extensive experience in managing Operational Technology (OT) systems, with a focus on SCADA, PLC, and MES in a critical infrastructure or industrial setting.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity in OT environments, including the management of vulnerabilities, threat mitigation, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, IEC 62443).
- Proven track record in leading OT strategy development and execution, integrating systems with IT frameworks.
- Leadership experience managing cross-disciplinary teams and driving performance improvements.
- Experience collaborating with engineering, operations, and IT departments to deliver complex projects.
- Ability to manage OT projects, from inception through to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

The salary and benefits are £70,000-£85,000 + £7,000 Car Allowance + 15% Bonus + Private Medical Insurance + Pension (up to 9%) + 25 Days Holiday + BH + Holiday Purchase Scheme
