Are you an experienced Health & Safety Consultant with a passion for excellence and innovation? Our client is seeking a Principal Consultant - H&S Principal Designer to join their team in Bristol. This is a unique opportunity to work on ambitious, highly technical projects within a global consultancy that values its people and their development.
As a Principal Consultant, you will deliver H&S consultancy services to a wide range of clients, ensuring that their needs are met with the highest standards of safety and compliance. You will manage projects to ensure profitability, develop new business opportunities, and build strong relationships within the team and with clients. Your role will include delivering CDM Consultancy, overseeing construction project H&S, conducting performance reviews, and developing continual improvement programs. You will also represent the company professionally, ensuring client satisfaction and consistent project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for understanding client needs, proactively identifying solutions, and delivering consistent H&S excellence. You will manage projects, ensuring they are profitable and compliant with corporate management systems. You will also develop new business opportunities, both by upselling to existing clients and supporting tender submissions for new work. Your expertise will guide the delivery of CDM Consultancy services, overseeing construction project health and safety, and conducting audits and diagnostic reviews to identify areas for improvement.
What We're Looking For:
- Proven experience as a CDM Principal Designer with a strong background in construction site H&S.
- Membership at some level with the Association of Project Safety (e.g., GradIOSH, TechIOSH).
- Excellent commercial acumen, communication skills, and the ability to manage projects independently.
- A flexible, motivated individual who is adaptable, detail-oriented, and able to build strong working relationships.
