Process Engineer 80-100%
A company at the forefront of microencapsulation technology seeks a highly skilled Process Engineer to join their team. You will contribute to the development, manufacturing, and operation of production equipment across various industries, ensuring high-quality product delivery. Currently, the team is focused on scaling up their first commercial plant, with the potential to revolutionize the Fine Fragrance sector.
Overview.
This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing encapsulation process systems. You will leverage your innovative spirit and industrial expertise to improve the chemical processes used in production equipment, while your clean process plant experience will be crucial for optimizing their continuous process and maintaining top-quality output.
Responsibilities.
- Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team on the design, development, assembly, testing, and commissioning of novel microencapsulation equipment.
- Lead or support process validation activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process documentation for consistent and high-quality production.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (internal & external) to achieve project objectives.
- Conduct testing, validation, and troubleshooting to identify and resolve process issues and challenges.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve processes.
Profile.
- Strong technical background with a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering/Process Engineering or a related field (higher degrees welcome). Apprenticeship experience is also considered.
- 5+ years of experience in process engineering (apprenticeships a plus), preferably in food, cosmetics, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Demonstrates strong technical expertise in process design, optimization, and troubleshooting, with a solid understanding of relevant engineering principles and methodologies.
- Proficient in process modeling and simulation software (e.g. MATLAB, or similar tools).
- Familiar with regulatory requirements and quality standards applicable to manufacturing processes (e.g., FDA, ISO).
- Ideally holds project management experience.
- Is a team player with a passion for fast-paced process technology environments.
- Must hold a work permit for Switzerland (required).
- Demonstrated track record of designing solutions for challenging chemical process problems.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Fluency in both German and English.
