Security Architect

You will form apart section within the security / infrastructure department and we seek a talented Technical Manager Security Engineer to focus on Defensiepas PKI and contactless applications.

Location: Maasland + Home office 50/50

Contract: 12 months

Rate: 80-90 per hour

** must be a Dutch Passport holder & speak Dutch**

You will need to undergo a security clearance

Responsibilities:

• Define relevant ICT technology and specifications for Defensiepas PKI and contactless applications, ensuring their integration with existing infrastructure.
• Implement security best practices and compliance requirements across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Manage network segmentation, access control lists (ACLs), and vulnerability mitigation for the virtual infrastructure.
• Leverage your expertise in smart card technology (contact chip and contactless) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) to optimize security solutions.

Requirements:

• HBO or WO degree (Dutch higher vocational education or bachelor's degree).
• Proven track record in security and compliance, with at least 1 year of experience in the security domain.
• 3+ years of experience as a designer or IT architect.
• 1+ year of experience as a consultant/manager.
• Experience with Defensiepas PKI and contactless applications (highly desirable).
• Strong analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Initiative, conceptual thinking, and a sense of responsibility.
• Vision for improving security operations.
• Availability for a minimum of 38 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) systems.
• Expertise in Microsoft architecture, particularly Active Directory.
• Proficiency with Linux, networks, network connections, and cloud technologies like containerization (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery) concepts.
• Experience in automating virtual infrastructure management.
• Knowledge of audit and certification processes.
• Understanding of the Rijkspas framework of standards.
