Senior Backend Developer - Contract / £650 Inside IR35 / London, Bristol, or Manchester - Hybrid

I am seeking a Senior Backend Developer to design and implement high-quality technical solutions that transform the way government data is used and shared. This role requires expertise in building APIs, web services, and secure data systems within a collaborative, agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of scalable data services and backend solutions.
* Build and maintain APIs and web services for government and citizen use.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align solutions with user needs.
* Ensure high-quality, secure, and maintainable code.
* Promote best development practices and mentor team members.
* Implement automated testing for CI/CD pipelines.
* Support hiring by reviewing applications and conducting interviews.

Requirements

Ideally proficient in Node.js, C#, Python, Java, Ruby, Shell scripting, JavaScript.
* Experience with ASP.Net Core and modern web frameworks.
* Strong API development skills.
* Knowledge of security protocols and software principles.
* Familiarity with microservices, serverless, and event-driven architectures.
* AWS expertise and hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes. * Eligible for BPSS.
