Senior Backend Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer, working for an exciting and rapidly growing technology company based in Berlin. With recent investment pending a new product launch, they are looking to grow the team to develop and deliver a new IoT Cloud Solution project working with Dotnet Core Technologies and Azure Cloud Services.

You will be part of a proactive team, demonstrating leadership and ownership to drive the success of their technologies and business growth.

• You will be responsible for the backend development of new features for our IoT clean energy platform.
• You will work on the respective development of the microservices, and support of Azure related projects while demonstrating leadership and ownership in the full life cycle of the software development environment.
• You will be responsible for ensuring that the system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business unit, ensuring that proper testing is implemented, and performance requirements are closely monitored by working with the development teams.

What's required:

• Degree in computer science or other domain-related disciplines
• More than 5 years of experience working with Cloud Solutions like Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, OpenStack, Microservices and Web technologies
• Experience in designing and developing software components in Microservices architecture style as well as domain driven architecture
• Experience in Infrastructure as Code frameworks (ARM, Tosca)
• Proficient in the following programming languages, C#, Node.Js, Dotnet Core.
• Experience in building/testing REST APIs, optional experience with GraphQL
• Deep understanding of cloud technologies microservices, serverless, and cloud-native
• Understanding of relational databases, NoSQL databases,
• Understanding of graph databases, and distributed cluster-computing frameworks
• Experience in creating CI/CD pipelines and automative workflows
• Beneficial understanding of Edge IoT Frameworks (IotHub, Microservices, MQTT, IPv6, etc.),
• Strong practical knowledge of agile frameworks SCRUM
• Experience in Microsoft Service Fabric and other Azure Services is a plus
