Job Description
SQL Developer - Law Enforcement / Police
Active NPPV3 clearance required
Outside IR35
Initial 6 months with likely extension
Largely remote with occasional trips to the office for workshops
One of my existing Police Force clients is currently going through a large transformation/migration of their PeopleSoft application. They're now in need of a SQL developer to come in and help with the further development of the programme.
The role will evolve into something high-level but as for now, they need someone to come in and help clone the tables and point them towards a new server. It's apparent that many of the tables no longer exist and columns have been removed. The Force is planning to do system tests as of October, so they ideally need someone to come in ahead of that to ensure that everything runs smoothly, then help with aftercare and the continued development of the database.
Role Requirements
- Active NPPV3 clearance (used within the last 12 months)
- Understand the Policing environment
- Strong experience in SQL development
- Proficient in Azure
- Database Design and Implementation: Creating robust database structures.
- Query Optimization: Modifying and optimizing existing databases.
- Data Security and Integrity: Ensuring data accuracy and protection.
- Collaboration: Working with data analysts and system administrators
- Understanding of data modeling and database administration.
- Troubleshooting and debugging SQL code.
- Able to handle vast amounts of data
