Test Engineer

We are seeking an Application QA Engineer who can help us on a long term contract/b2b assignment working for a large Energy Company, who are based in Germany.

You can be located Europe-wide, have fluent English skills along with a strong background in Testing Applications on Automation Infrastructure and Networks

Remote - with a 3 day block onsite per month in Berlin

Rate - is open

Availability: to start in October, no later than November

Key Experience

Testing Expertise:

• Deep understanding of various testing types and levels (functional, regression, security, availability, component, integration, end-to-end).
• Proficiency in test automation using pytest.
• Experience testing RESTful APIs and interacting with other APIs in distributed systems.

Technical Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies (L2-L4, protocols, services).
• Understanding of virtualization and containerization principles (virtualization, Kubernetes, containers, Docker).
• Proficiency in Linux command line and scripting languages (Python, shell).

Process and Tools:

• Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Ability to set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, Tekton, Argo Workflows, and Argo CD.
• Knowledge of GitOps principles and tools (ArgoCD, Flux).
• Commitment to ensuring high-quality deliverables through rigorous standards and processes.
