We are seeking a Virtualisation Engineer help us on a long term contract/b2b assignment working for a large Energy Company, who are based in Germany.

You can be located Europe-wide, have fluent English skills, you'll need to demonstrate strong Virtualisation Admin and Operations experience.

Remote - with a 3 day block onsite per month in Berlin

Rate - is open 80-100£ per hour

Availability: November Start

Duration: 3 months rolling for 12-18 months

Duties:

The engineer has the knowledge to transfers the design into the target environment. He tests and documents the environment accordingly.

The future core virtualization technology will be KVM but for now VMWare knowledge will be needed to implement and support the existing technology stack.

Continuous Improvement and Adaptation: The virtualization engineer actively validates the status of the environment in his responsibility and ensures to keep the configuration up to date.

Experience:

VMware vSphere good knowledge, experience to install, maintain and use VMware vSphere ESXi and vCenter.
Engineering Experience with VMWare and/or KVM host as a hypervisor base on DELL and/or HP Server.
Detailed knowledge about the VMware and/or KVM lifecycle management (install, maintain, decommission)
Integration of VMware and/or KVM into observability.
Planning and performing update and upgrade scenarios for the above technologies.
Understanding fundamental LAN and WAN technologies in a Datacenter.
Experience to use OneView, OpenManage.
