Position: B2 Licensed Engineer

Pay rate: upto £70 p/h inside IR35.

location: Shawbury - RAF Base

Role Type: 12 Month contract with extension

IO Associates seeks a B2 Licensed Engineer for the Shawbury site. Join a global aerospace leader specializing in commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, defense, and space sectors. Responsibilities

Provide engineering support to Flight Operations.
Perform maintenance inspections and repairs under LAE Supervisor guidance.
Lead teams to ensure safe aircraft operations.
Maintain avionic and electrical systems, including LRU replacements and testing.
Supervise fitters and certify their work.
Conduct off-aircraft technical tasks in the avionics workshop.
Assist with hangar management, aircraft movement, and housekeeping.

Skills

In-depth knowledge of helicopter avionic and electrical systems is required.
Familiarity with specialized test equipment for avionic and electrical systems is essential.
Must be up to date with:
CAA regulations, particularly Part 145 and Part M (Continued Airworthiness Management).
Flight and airport operations.
Aircraft line maintenance procedures.
