Data Scientist - Up to £47,000 - Hybrid Role (One day a month in Manchester and Liverpool)

Are you a Data Scientist looking for a role where you'll have ownership, autonomy, and the chance to make a real impact? My client, a forward-thinking organisation, is looking for a talented professional to join their Data Insights Team, part of their wider Business Intelligence Team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on strategic, high-impact projects that utilise Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI to solve complex challenges and deliver actionable insights for senior leadership.


The Role

In this role, you'll have the freedom to:

  • Lead and own projects from concept to delivery, including generating ideas for new initiatives.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to turn insights into action, creating engaging reports that tell compelling stories with data.
  • Collaborate with teams across the organisation, including Continuous Improvement, Research, Finance, IT Systems, and Senior Operational Leadership.
  • Use advanced analytics, forecasting, and modelling techniques to evaluate business performance, measure impact, and shape decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Identifying business problems and building solutions with Data Science and Machine Learning.
  • Forecasting and predicting metrics using algorithms and models.
  • Assessing the impact of interventions and preparing cohort performance statistics.
  • Ensuring sound and robust data practices to deliver high-quality results.

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an innovative problem solver who's excited about building solutions for business challenges.
  • Have strong technical skills in feature selection, model building, and synthetic data generation.
  • Be able to communicate complex techniques to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Have a strong foundation in Data Science, with experience applying Machine Learning techniques.
