.NET Developer
Edinburgh (must be based within commuting distance)
Hybrid working (2 days per week in office)

iO Associates are working with a financial technology business in Edinburgh, they are a fast growing charity focused fin tech platform with a lot on offer. Most of the team have been with the business for 5 years or more as they've got excellent retention.

We are searching for a .NET developer to join the team in the new year, this is a growth hire due to new platforms within the business.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and maintain software applications using the .NET framework, C#, and related technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise applications to ensure performance and reliability.
Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, and database-driven solutions.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies to recommend improvements to existing systems.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a .NET Developer or similar role.
Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/Framework.
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
Familiarity with databases like SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Knowledge of RESTful APIs, Web Services, and microservices architecture.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks (React) would be beneficial but is not required.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Knowledge of tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
Certifications in .NET or related technologies.
