.NET Developer
Edinburgh (must be based within commuting distance)
Hybrid working (2 days per week in office)
iO Associates are working with a financial technology business in Edinburgh, they are a fast growing charity focused fin tech platform with a lot on offer. Most of the team have been with the business for 5 years or more as they've got excellent retention.
We are searching for a .NET developer to join the team in the new year, this is a growth hire due to new platforms within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain software applications using the .NET framework, C#, and related technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimise applications to ensure performance and reliability.
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Develop and maintain APIs, integrations, and database-driven solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies to recommend improvements to existing systems.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a .NET Developer or similar role.
- Proficiency in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core/Framework.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
- Familiarity with databases like SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, Web Services, and microservices architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks (React) would be beneficial but is not required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
- Certifications in .NET or related technologies.
